Job Summary:
The Process Analyst is responsible for analyzing, developing, and improving chemical manufacturing processes within the organization. This role involves evaluating and optimizing process parameters, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process enhancements to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. The Process Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, mitigate risks, and support the overall growth and success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze chemical manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
2. Develop and implement process modifications to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
3. Conduct thorough process evaluations, including data analysis, troubleshooting, and feasibility studies.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers and production personnel, to identify and implement process improvements.
5. Monitor process performance and identify deviations or inefficiencies, taking corrective actions as necessary.
6. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, or methodologies to enhance process efficiency and quality.
7. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues or non-conformities.
8. Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flowcharts.
9. Support process validation activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
10. Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to identify and qualify new suppliers for process-related materials or equipment.
11. Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to chemical engineering and process improvement.
12. Participate in cross-functional project teams and provide technical expertise on process-related matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) in chemical process analysis and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, process control systems, and statistical analysis techniques.
4. Proficiency in process simulation software and tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, MATLAB).
5. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
6. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and documentation.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management and organizational skills.
10. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to chemical manufacturing processes.
11. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement tools (e.g., DMAIC, Kaizen, 5S) is preferred.
12. Professional certification or licensure in chemical engineering or a related field is desirable.
